Johanna Fontenot, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 10, 2025, in Webster, Texas, at the age of 95.
Born on May 2, 1930, in Wiesbaden, Germany, Johanna lived a life marked by resilience, love, and grace. She met and married the love of her life, John Fontenot, with whom she shared many beautiful years. Together, they built a family rooted in love and strong values. John preceded her in death, and Johanna spoke often of the deep and abiding bond they shared.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Annette Morris, and son-in-law, Charlie Morris; and her loving son, Alan Fontenot. Johanna’s legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Annamarie Kilgore and her husband Alex Kilgore, Travis Morris, Austin Fontenot, and Skylar Fontenot. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Conner and Hailey Kilgore, who brought her immeasurable joy and laughter in her later years.
Johanna will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her quiet strength, and the unconditional love she gave to her family. Her German heritage, warm heart, and wise presence enriched the lives of everyone around her. She leaves behind a lifetime of treasured memories and an enduring example of grace.
A celebration of Johanna’s life will be held at South Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1310 Main Street, Pearland, Texas on June 20, 2025, at 12 p.m.
