Mrs. Johanna Maria Cuadra's Obituary
Johanna Maria Cuadra, aged 43, passed away on October 18, 2016. Johanna Maria Cuadra was born on April 13, 1973 in Managua, Nicaragua to Juan and Laura Davila.
Johanna was brought to the United States at a young age. She grew up in Houston Texas. In her young age, she participated in cheerleading, modeling, and DECCA, and eventually graduated from Milby High School in 1992. She went on to study at the University of Houston with a degree in business administration. She married Ricardo Cuadra on August 7, 1995 and moved to Guadalajara, Mexico while her husband attended medical school. She had her first son Ricardo Gustavo Cuadra in Guadalajara, Mexico on October 28, 1996. In June of 1999, Johanna and her family returned to the United States to Staten Island, New York during which time her husband began his 5th Pathway year with New York Medical College. In August of 2000, they moved on to Allentown, Pennsylvania so that her husband could complete his residency in Internal Medicine. During that time in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Johanna had her second son Daniel Alexander Cuadra on January 7, 2004. In June of 2004, Johanna and her family were finally happy to return to Houston, Texas. They soon bought a home and settled in Houston, Texas where her husband practiced medicine, and has continued to practice for the past 12 years. On January 9, 2009, Johanna had her third son Christopher John Cuadra. Johanna was a devoted mother and wife. She devoted her life to the care of her children and husband. She enjoyed participating in their school activities and sports. Her hobbies included dancing, and singing. She had a joy for life and most of all for God. She had a tremendous heart and soul, in which she would help those in need, giving whenever she could and even when she couldn’t. Her family and friends loved her dearly.
Johanna is survived by her loving husband Ricardo, her adored sons, Ricardo Gustavo, Daniel Alexander and Christopher John. She is also survived by her loving parents Juan and Laura Davila, her brothers and sisters, Juan Manuel and Helen Davila, Mauricio and Coki Davila, Jorge and Magda Davila, Osmundo and Linda Davila, Mari and Erick Ortiz, Patry and Antonio Heredia, David and Claudia Davila, and Daniel and Tamara Davila and her many nephews and nieces who adored her and who will always cherish their Tia Ana or Tia Jo as they would call her.
Mass will be held at St. Luke’s Catholic Church on Monday, October 24, 2016, at 12:00pm followed by a private graveside service for immediate family members at SouthPark Memorial Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
Johanna will be eternally loved and is in the Hands of Our Lord and Savior.
