Joe Lopez's Obituary
Joe Trinidad Lopez, also known as Pops, age 90, of Houston, Texas, passed away on December 31,2025.
Born on May 17, 1935, in Zamora, Michoacán, Mexico, Joe lived a life deeply rooted in faith, family, and purpose. His unwavering faith in the Lord guided every chapter of his life and was a light he joyfully shared with all who knew him.
Joe proudly served his country as a United States Marine Corps veteran during the Korean War. His life reflected honor, discipline, and devotion, values he carried with him both in service and at home. In recognition of his faithful service, military honors will be rendered.
Joe was preceded in death by his first wife, Hope G. Lopez, and his second wife, Maria Sanguinetti.
He is survived by his beloved children, Debra Ramos and Diego Lopez; four cherished grandchildren, Briana Galindo, Cynthia Lopez, Rick Lopez, and Jesus Ramos; nine great-grandchildren, Brandon Lopez, Mariya Lopez, Jacob Ramos, Zavier Mena, Hope Galindo, Ricky Lopez, Emily Galindo, Catalina Ramos, and Angelo Lopez; and one great-great-grandchild, Melody Lopez.
Burial services will be held at Houston National Cemetery, located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038, on January 13, 2025. Family and guests may begin lining up at 10:45 a.m. in Lane 1. The ceremony will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. and will include full military honors and a flag-folding presentation.
Joe will be remembered for his gentle spirit, steadfast faith, and devotion to family. Though deeply missed, we rejoice knowing he is now resting peacefully in the presence of his Lord and Savior.
