Joaquin Arevalo's Obituary
Joaquin Arevalo, age 77, entered eternal rest on September 10, 2024 peacefully at home. He was born on August 16, 1947 in Portezuelo, Jalisco. He and his wife Consuelo, married 51 years, have been residents of Pasadena, TX since 1973.
Joaquin was known for his selflessness and devotion. Joaquin dedicated his life to his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a pillar of strength and hope, always holding his family to a higher standard. Joaquin was a man of unwavering faith and generosity. He consistently reached out to help others, never hesitating to give what he had to improve the well-being of those around him. His hard work and dedication were evident in everything he did, rarely complaining and always ready to take on any task. He was a master storyteller, captivating everyone with his tales. Joaquin accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1998. Joaquin was deeply committed to his Christian faith, frequently giving to the church. His musical talents were extraordinary; he played many instruments and had a unique and amazing singing voice. Joaquin was a man who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. It was clear to all who knew him that he was sent by God to touch their lives in a meaningful and positive way. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, faith, and generosity will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Joaquin is preceded in death by his parents Mercedez & Victoriano Garcia Arevalo; son Ruben Anthony Arevalo; siblings Jose Arevalo, Felipe Arevalo, Leonor Avila, Amparo Garcia & Maria Martinez.
Joaquin is survived by his wife, Consuelo Arevalo; sister, Eduvinda Torres; son Joaquin Arevalo Jr; son Jose Arevalo his wife Ana Arevalo; son Arturo Arevalo his wife Belia Arevalo; son Ruben Arevalo his wife Sue Ann Arevalo; daughter Monica Cuevas her husband Juan Cuevas, grandkids Michael Arevalo, Olivia Trevino, Zachary Arevalo, Sophia Arevalo, Ricky Sandoval, Jose Arevalo Jr, Allen Arevalo, Arturo Arevalo Jr, Ashley Arevalo, Aliza Arevalo, Ruben Arevalo Jr, Deven Arevalo, Dylan Arevalo, Annamarie Cuevas & Aidan Cuevas, 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held September 16, 2024, 5pm at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, TX. The funeral service will be held September 17, 2024, 10am at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, TX and be followed by the gravesite service at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, TX.
A celebration on life reception will be held at Bethel Christian Center 512 Austin Avenue, Pasadena, TX 77502 immediately after gravesite service.
