Mr. Jimmy Royce Johnson's Obituary
Jimmy Royce Johnson, 62, born Jan. 2, 1948 in Lufkin, Texas to Thomas and Dorotha Johnson, left this life February 26, 2010. Jimmy serviced his country in the U.S. Air Force and was a Master Mason with the Albert J. De Lange Lodge #1403. Jimmy put himself through school to become a watch repairman and soon after owned his own business. Jimmy is preceded in death by his father, T.J. Johnson, and his former wife, Susan Johnson. His survivors include his loving wife of 17 years, Sandra Kay Johnson; children, Katie Groo and her husband Jason, and Brandy Johnson; grandchildren, Louis Oden, Timothy Oden, Brayden Becker, and Madison Groo; mother, Dorotha Walker; brothers, Johnny Johnson and David Johnson; and sister, Madelyn Rakestraw. Visitation will be Monday, March 1, 2010, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at SouthPark Funeral Home in Pearland. A service of remembrance is Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of SouthPark Funeral Home. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Jimmy's name to the American Heart Association, www.americanheart.org.
