Jesus Medrano "Chuy" Lopez's Obituary
On Friday, July 17th, Jesus Medrano, a loving father of three children, passed away at the age of 66. Jesus better known as “Chuy”, was born on November 16, 1953 in La Cabra, a small town near Matehuala S.L.P., Mexico.
In his early adult years, he, along with his younger brother Bruno, decided to come to America in search of the American Dream. For many years he worked in the food service industry until he landed a job in construction which is what he loved to do. His dream was to have his own Contractor Service business. Though he faced many challenges he was able to fulfill this dream.
Among Jesus’ many passions, the one that will always live on through many of us was his love for Jesus Christ. At the age of 34 he gave his life to Christ and since then he made it his focus to share the gospel and lead others to Christ. He devoted his time on serving others. Jesus was part of the transportation team at the Iglesia Pentecostal Unida Central where he selflessly gave up many of his evenings and weekends to help pick up his brothers and sisters in Christ and take them to church.
Jesus was preceded in death by his father Lucio, his mother Luz and his brother Bruno. He is survived by his three children Lucia, Jesus and Perla. His grandchildren Romeo, Crystal, Rebecca, Angel, Andrea, Adriana, Jay and Isaiah. His sisters Petra, Amparo, Olga, Juana and Araceli and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
