Jesus (Chuy) Gonzalez Ibarra's Obituary
Jesus (Chuy) Gonzalez Ibarra was born in Laredo Mexico on July 29th, 1933 to Tomas Gonzalez and wife Reinalda Ibarra de Gonzalez. He passed peacefully in his sleep on July 1st, 2025 with his loving wife of 68 years by his side. Jesus married Elva Cantu on December 9th,1957 and raised 8 children together settling in Pearland, Texas for the past 45 years.
Jesus was a truck driver for over 22 years. After moving to Pearland he worked for Opeco for nearly 10 years; worked for Tiger Oil another 10 years before retiring to spend his later years with his wife and family. After retiring Jesus enjoyed spending time outdoors and working on projects around the house. He loved his dog, Lobo and over the years had goats and recently acquired a pesky rooster.
Jesus leaves behind his loving wife Elva Gonzalez; Daughter Miroslava Cardenas and Husband Francisco; Son Jesus (Chuy) Gonzalez and wife Alejandra; Son Raul Gonzalez and wife Janeth; Daughter Sonia Gonzalez; Son Sergio Gonzalez and wife Linda; Son Oscar Gonzalez and wife Jennifer; Son Robert Gonzalez and wife Debra. He also has numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as many family and friends.
Jesus is preceded in death by his eldest daughter Elva Gonzalez; as well as his parents and 4 siblings.
