Jesus Roberto Caballero's Obituary
Jesus Roberto Caballero, born on October 15, 1943 in Edcouch, Texas, was peacefully called home on January 18, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents, Nicolas and Eulalia Caballero; his brother Nicolas Jr; his sister Maria; and his son Christopher. Jesus, who went by many names (Jesse, Chuy, Dad, Pa, Tio, T), always quietly enjoyed the company of friends and family and rarely attended a gathering without an unlit cigar or a Bourbon and Coke. His pride and joy were his grandchildren: he never missed a concert, a game or any event in which they participated. He doted upon them constantly as they brought him endless joy. He was a faithful Catholic and longtime member of St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Pearland. He is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Vicki Garcia Caballero and their children: Robert Caballero and his wife Kaylan Findley Caballero; Jaime Caballero and his wife Frances Hokanson Caballero; Matthew Caballero and Margarita Carrillo; grandchildren Alex Hubbard, Alexus Garza, Maria Carrillo, Laura Hubbard, Jesus Carrillo, Kate Hubbard, William Hubbard, Jackson Caballero, Carter Caballero, Findley Caballero, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation and Rosary will be held on Monday, January 22nd 5-8pm at Southpark Funeral Home in Pearland. Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd at 10am at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Pearland with graveside services to follow.
