In Loving Memory of Jessie Cardell
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jessie Cardell, age 79, of Houston, Texas, who left us peacefully on December 17, 2024. Jessie was a man of few words but had a heart full of love for his family and his grandchildren. His quiet strength, devotion to his loved ones, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Born on May 26, 1945, Jessie spent his life enjoying the simple pleasures of fishing, hunting, and playing baseball. He found peace in the great outdoors and joy in the camaraderie of the game. His love for these activities was only surpassed by his love for his family, whom he cherished deeply.
Jessie is survived by his beloved wife, Angelita (Angel); children Jessie Cardell, Debbie (Jose) Sanchez, Angie (David) Shaw, Joe (Josie) Cardell, and Samuel (Jennifer) Cardell; and his cherished grandchildren Jose, Ashley, Brittany, Brandon, Destiny, Matthew, Gracie, Jesse James, Hennessey, Christian, Alexandria, and Benjamin. He is also survived by great-grandchildren Mark, Mariya, Rick, and Angelo, and great-great-grandchild Melody. Jessie was preceded in death by his grandchild, Sara Flores.
He will be remembered for his quiet strength, his dedication to his family, and the countless memories made on fishing trips, hunting adventures, and baseball games.
A visitation will be held on January 2, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will take place on January 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM in our chapel, with burial to follow.
Jessie’s spirit will live on in the hearts of his loved ones, and he will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
