Ms. Jessica Whitmire's Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Jessica Avonne Whitmire of Missouri City, Texas, announces the loss of their “shining star” on February 27, 2018 at the young age of 21.
Jessica is survived by her parents, Stephanie Burnside, Lonnie Burnside and Randall Whitmire; her beautiful daughter, Willow Islah Wells; her brothers, Lonnie Burnside Jr., Eric Burnside, Jacob Burnside and Kenneth Burnside; her grandparents Suzanne Whitmire, Terry and Carol Cox; her boyfriend of 3 years, Austin Williams; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Terry Whitmire, Pamela Williams, Arbe Moore Jr., and Suzanne McComack.
Jessica was born in Houston on August 28, 1996. She attended Palmer Elementary School and Quail Valley Middle School. As a young girl, she enjoyed ice skating, gymnastics, singing, dancing and theater.
She graduated from Elkins High School in 2014. While in high school, she participated in theater, choir, and speech and was an active member of the Life Teen Program at St. Laurence Catholic Church. A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at South Park Funeral Home, 1310 North Main Street, Pearland, Texas 77581. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, March 9, 2018 at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 3100 Sweetwater Boulevard, Sugar Land, Texas 77479. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Jessica’s memory, to Hope’s Path, 28918 South Plumb Creek Drive, Spring, Texas 77386 or visit Hopes Path at hopespath.org.
