Jess Aubry Vance's Obituary
Jess Aubry Vance, age 80, passed on June 2nd, 2025, in Tomball, Texas.
Aubry is survived by his wife, Winifred Lutz Vance of 50 years, his sister Helen Hoffman and spouse F. J. Hoffman, his daughter, Cindy Vance Wilson and her spouse Steve Wilson, his son, Aubry Douglas Vance and his spouse Will Morgan, grandchildren Becca, Aly, Aidan, and Lana, and grandpups Prue, Nellie, and Penny.
Aubry was born July 27th, in 1944 to parents Jess Willard Vance and Freda Boone Vance. He joined the United States Navy in 1962 and served on the USS Hancock during the Vietnam war. Aubry began his career with the Port Terminal Railroad as a conductor, where he worked for over 42 years. He returned to school after the military and graduated from San Jacinto College in 1978 with a degree in Aeronautical Science. He also took classes in Spanish and was inducted into the Spanish National Honor Society in 1988.
Aubry was a great family man, loving father and provider. He was a socially active man who enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, helping to organize retiree luncheons, going to car shows, coin collecting and treasure hunting.
His family and friends will always remember him as a loving, caring, and good-humored person.
