Jerry Lee South, 87, of Montgomery, Texas passed away on February 27, 2024.
Jerry was born in Houston, Texas on June 25, 1936. He graduated from Austin High School in Houston, Texas. He served as a member of the Army Reserves for 6 years.
Jerry married Barbara (Bobbie) Ann South in 1959, and they were married almost 65 years at the time of his death.
Jerry worked in sales in the oil and gas and trucking industry. He enjoyed playing golf since the age of 12 and enjoyed fishing in his spare time. His greatest memories were spent spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Jerry is preceded in death by his father, Charles Elijah South and his mother, Lucille South, and sister June South.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Barbara (Bobbie) South, son, Steve South and wife Georgette of Clear Lake Shores, Texas; granddaughter Tori Herrington and husband, Dennis and great grandchildren, Arianna and Roman; grandson, Chad South and wife, Jessica, and great grandchild, Croix; granddaughter Lindsey; son, Scott South and wife Dawn of Friendswood, Texas; granddaughter Cara and husband, Tyler, and great grandchildren Bennett and Eleanor; granddaughter Casey and husband Andrew, great grandchildren, Callan and Mary Kate; and grandson Reed; sister Joanne Yauch of Bullard, Texas.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas.
