Jeanna McKissick Moreno-Silva's Obituary
Jeanna (McKissick) Moreno-Silva, 57, of Manvel, Texas, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025.
Jeanna was born on January 23, 1968, in Houston, Texas, the second of three children to Phillip McKissick and Barbara Moore. She graduated from Pearland High School in 1986 and later earned her associate degree in biology from San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Texas, in 1997.
Jeanna had a love for reading, watching movies with her family, and cooking. She found joy in collecting cookbooks and planting a variety of plants and flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip McKissick and Barbara Moore, and her nephew, Phillip Ian Koterba.
She is survived by her husband, Miguel Silva; her children: David Moreno and wife Sarah, Michael Silva, Phillip Moreno and wife Bailey; her grandchildren: Oliver and Julian Moreno (Phillip Moreno); her sister, Katrina Koterba; her nephew, Jeffrey Koterba; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Jeanna also leaves behind memories that will continue to shape and be held by those who knew her. In remembering Jeanna, we carry the opportunity to heal, to grow, and to remember with grace.
