Mrs. Jean H. Barfield's Obituary
Jean Alison Haddon Barfield was born May 17, 1929.
She is from Houston, Texas and grew up in Garden Villa's (a neighborhood near Hobby airport)
during a time when she could enjoy riding her horse in the open fields near her home.
She graduated from Austin high school in Houston and attended Sam Houston State University.
Most of her working life, twenty-six years, was spent locally with the Maxwell House Coffee Company
until her retirement.
She loved family, Church, all sports and being outdoors.
Until she was eighty three years of age, she was an avid walker and gardener, loyal church volunteer, and
played competitive golf on a women's senior tour all over Texas.
She is survived by three children: Harold Barfield (Jan Barfield), Loretta Dille (Dave Dille, Jr.), and
Douglas Barfield (Kelly Barfield), five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Jean passed away Tuesday morning, August 8, 2017 at the age of eighty-eight in Gruene, Texas.
