Janice Kay McDaniel's Obituary
Janice Kay McDaniel, age 76, passed away with her family by her side on August 18. She was born on January 29, 1944 to Palmer and Max Jones in Lutie, Missouri. The family later moved to Texas.
Janice graduated from Pasadena High School. She was married in 1968 and had 2 children, Kirk and Robyn. Janice worked for Shell Federal Credit Union in Deer Park for 26 years where she was the Vice President of Operations. Janice had an incredible work ethic and was very independent. She retired in 2000 and moved to The Woodlands in 2001.
Janice treasured her family and had a love for them like no other. She especially loved being with her grandkids. She made holidays special for them and loved showering them with gifts. She enjoyed trips with her sisters and cousins where they would play games, tell stories and have a lot of laughs.
Janice had a vivacious and playful personality and always made people around her laugh. Janice enjoyed cooking, watching old movies, working puzzles, playing board games, going out for Mexican food, and taking walks.
She will be missed dearly but will never be forgotten. She left a mark on everyone she met and her humor and kindness will be with us forever.
Janice is preceded in death by her father, Maxwell Woodward Jones, and mother, Palmerine Jones, sister, Carol Jamail: brothers in law, Neils Kanstrup, and Jerry Jones
She is survived by: daughter, Robyn Hughes her husband John Hughes: granddaughter Elyse Hughes, son, Kirk McDaniel, Tina Villanueva, Grandson: Nikolas McDaniel, granddaughters: Olivia and Vivian Villanueva
sisters: Betty Huse, husband Donald Huse, Mary Kanstrup, Linda Walkoviak, husband Dave Walkoviak, Brenda Jones, brother in law, Phillip Jamail and numerous nieces and nephews.
