Mr. James Steven Smart's Obituary
Mr. James Steven Smart, 66, sadly passed away on April 9th, 2019 in Houston, Texas. Mr. James Steven Smart was born on March 9th, 1953 in Syracuse, New York. Mr. Smart will be dearly missed by his loving family and a host of friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his mother Edna Brown and step father Jim Brown, Brother Eugene Fountain; Sister Mary Fontaine; brother-in-law Wayne Breneman.
He leaves behind his sons James Corey Smart and Sylas Smart, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His sister Cathy Fulford-Schreiber and brother in law Ronnie Schreiber. Brother in law Bennie Rowe.
Steve was a hard, working, and loyal employee. He was a pipefitter in his younger years. He then went into carpentry and remodeling. Eventually transitioned into maintenance work. For the last two plus years until May 5th he was employed by AARP and worked at St. Peters Episcopal Church in Pasadena Texas.
Steve was mostly low key, laid back and peace loving. He kept to his self a lot but had treasured friendships that lasted the span of his life. He was very funny and quick to make you laugh. He loved his family more than they know. He loved the beach and listening to Jimmy Buffet music. He also liked to wear the big silk shirts. He enjoyed listening to political news on the TV and radio shows. He was a Texan and Astros fan.
