Runge, James' Obituary
James P. “Jim” Runge, age of 89, of Houston passed away on December 30, 2025.
Born on January 25, 1936, in Beloit, Wisconsin, Jim lived a full and active life. He had a deep interest in genealogy, dedicating time to tracing family roots and preserving history for future generations. His passion for travel and camping took him with his wife Vickey of 65 years and his two daughters to many places over the years.
Once he retired from IBM as a financial analyst at 55 he and his wife enjoyed many more camping trips and lots of bicycling. He also enjoyed doing taxes for many clients.
Jim is survived by his wife, Vickey Runge. His daughter Sandra Brown and her husband Steve of Deer Park. Also, survived by his grandson James M. Poland and wife Rachel and their children James and Lily of Sugar Land. Also, their grandson Jeffrey A. Poland of Lubbock.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Kay Poland and son-in-law James Wesley Poland.
As per his wishes he will be cremated, and no services will be performed.
