James Louis Mathews' Obituary
Jim Louis Mathews, 72 a career special education teacher with the Galena Park Independent School District and an accomplished local amateur golfer, passed from this life to his heavenly reward on Oct. 18, 2022. Jim was born on July 13, 1950 and reunites with his parents Louis and Marie (Goricki) Mathews.
Jim's personal warmth and humor were shared with all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his cousins Mark, Paul, Rick and David Goricki, Joan Bragg. And his longtime neighbors and friends Michelle and Ricky Winstead, Gigi and John Lampson, Jeff Baker and Mike Schwartz.
A lifelong resident of Houston, Jim's joys in life were his friends, Golf and his precious dog Teddy.
All are invited to his Celebration of Life and Internment .The Mausoleum is located on the East Side of Hwy. 35, across the street from the funeral home.
