Mr. James Jonas' Obituary
James (Jim) R. Jonas, born in Okmulgee, OK on December 9, 1927, passed away on May 28, 2010 at his home in Pearland, TX. He attended Van High School and graduated from Southwestern University in 1949 where he was captain of the football team and ran track. He served in the Air Force for four years achieving the rank of A1/C and was honorably discharged. After coaching and teaching in Belton, TX, he went on to work for Dunn and Bradstreet for 29 years. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed being outdoors, woodworking and watching his grandson's activities. Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Dot Jonas. He is survived by daughters Jody Boone (Tom) and Jana Sever (Rus); grandsons James and Craig Boone and Marcus and Austin Sever; step-grandchildren: Judy Dornak (Mark), Byron and Nathan Boone; step great grandchildren Sadie and Tessa Dornak.
