James P. George's Obituary
James George, born on August 26, 1948, was the second of six children of the late P.I. George and Pennamma George of Plavilaputhen House, Kadampand, Kerala. His life was marked by devotion, perseverance, and a profound love for his family and faith.
After earning his bachelor’s degree in India, James briefly worked in Bombay. In 1972, he made the bold decision to migrate to the United States in search of a brighter future. Following a short stay in Dallas, Texas, he settled in Houston in 1975, a city he would proudly call home for nearly five decades.
On October 18, 1975, James married Marykutty George of Panavellil House, Kottarakara. Their 49 years of marriage were a testament to their unwavering commitment to one another. Together, they were blessed with two children, Jason and Jensy and later, with four cherished grandchildren who became the light of his life.
James was not only a devoted husband and father but also a tireless provider. He worked selflessly to ensure his family’s well-being and played an instrumental role in reuniting loved ones, helping many family members from both sides settle in the United States. His generosity extended beyond his family, as he also supported his community and church.
James was one of the founding members of IPC Church in Houston, where he played an integral role in its establishment and growth. His passion for serving God and his community was evident in every aspect of his life. Even as his health declined in recent years, James’s steadfast spirit and faith continued to shine brightly.
On November 17, 2024, James passed away peacefully, surrounded by his beloved family and friends. His kind heart, warm smile, and ability to leave a lasting impression on everyone he met will always be remembered.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Marykutty; his children, Jason George and Jensy Antony; his son-in-law, Andrew Antony; his daughter-in-law, Grace George; and his grandchildren, Bella, Madison, Caleb, and Taylor. He also leaves behind an extended family and countless friends who were deeply touched by his life.
We celebrate the extraordinary life James lived and cherish the precious memories he created with us. While his absence leaves an irreplaceable void, we find comfort in knowing that this is not goodbye, but rather “until we meet again” in eternity.
