James Foshee's Obituary
James “Bud” Foshee, age 89, of Pearland, Texas passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026. He was born February 21, 1937, in Port Arthur, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Houston, Texas, with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held at South Park Funeral Home, Pearland, Texas, starting at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, with Rosary at 7:00 pm.
James is survived by his beloved wife, Jenrose Foshee, and children Jennifer Foshee, Ed Nolen, Lisa Nolen, and Tom Nolen; his sister Carolyn Foshee Ledet, nieces Lisa Ledet, Laura Ledet, Lesley Moran, and other family and friends who will remember him fondly for his wisdom, generosity and quiet strength. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Archie Foshee, and his nephew Steve “Chip” Ledet.
James proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for four years, a commitment that reflected his lifelong sense of duty, discipline, and integrity. Following his military service, he was employed by The Boeing Company and contracted to NASA where he worked on the lunar landing craft for the first moon landing. He later worked as a construction supervisor where his leadership and meticulous attention to detail were deeply respected. Outside his professional life, James was a talented artist, and found great joy in woodworking and carving. His craftsmanship was more than a hobby—it was an expression of patience, creativity and care. Many of his handmade works remain cherished keepsakes for family and friends.
He will be remembered as a man of deep faith, service, and skill—someone who lived honorably, loved deeply, and left a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew him. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the McLemore Detachment #4 Marine Corps League for their participation in the funeral services. Memorial donations may be given to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Houston, Texas.
