James Frisco Fleming's Obituary
James Frisco Fleming
On November 29, 1953, James Frisco Fleming was born to Annie Ray and Lee Samuel Fleming Sr. Frisco possessed plant operations skills and that made him highly marketable in the petroleum and manufacturing industries. He was employed in those industries for over 40 years before retiring and becoming disabled.
James Frisco Fleming and Barbara Johnson were united in marriage on April 19, 1976. To this union, three beautiful daughters, Kenyata, LaKasha and Shavonne, were born. God blessed Frisco with a grandson Quinten in 2007. The two of them were inseparable. God allowed Frisco to see his youngest daughter, Shavonne marry an outstanding young man, Gabriel Edwards. Jehovah gave Frisco the strength to dance with her at the wedding. Now, he had the son he always longed for. Frisco also lived to see the birth of his beautiful granddaughter, Amari.
Frisco and Barbara renewed their marriage vows in 2007, both stating: "I offer you my solemn vow to be your faithful partner in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, and in joy as well as in sorrow. I promise to love you unconditionally, to support you in your goals, to honor and respect you, to laugh with you and cry with you, and to cherish you for as long as we both shall live."
He loved all his siblings, but had a "special" relationship with Annette who passed away in 2012. They enjoyed many of the same hobbies, and, later in life, could relate to each other because they both became very ill, yet remained joyful and optimistic. They each had incredible faith and shared their testimonies of God's goodness and awesome power. In fact, they were living testimonies.
Frisco spent much of his time reading, praying and mediating on God's Word - loving Jehovah with all his heart. He was devoted to his family and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Frisco lived life to the fullest and had many hobbies, including, fishing, pool, poker and dominos. He and his wife, Barbara, enjoyed entertaining, and their home was always fun-filled. Frisco's sense of humor kept all who came in contact with him laughing; even in his last hours of life he cracked a few jokes. He had a magnetic personality, contagious laugh and beautiful smile. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Frisco departed this life on March 1, 2014.
