Mr. James Albert Estes III's Obituary
James Albert Estes III, born January 27, 1919 in Bessemer, Alabama, passed away on January 26 just 3 hours before his 95th birthday.
He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Estes. He is survived by his children, Julie Suber and husband Bill, Zaida Mangum and husband Frank, Jim Estes and wife Vicki, Jackie Lytle and husband Richard; grandchildren, Ross and wife Teresa, Danabeth, Tracy, Todd and wife TJ, Rachel and husband Russell, Jay and wife Julie, Jonathan and wife Lucy, Carrie and husband Hiren, Julie, Sydney and husband Ryan; great grandchildren, Sarah, Taylor, Jaden, Sophie, Sydney, Carter and Jude.
James served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corp.
He was a Master Mason for over 50 years and a member of La Porte Lodge #857. He was also a Scottish Rite 32I and enjoyed being an active member of the Arabian Temple for many years.
A Celebration of James' Life will be held at 12:30PM, Thursday, January 30, 2014 in The Chapel of SouthPark Funeral Home with interment to follow at SouthPark Cemetary. Pastor Ernest Weedon, former pastor to James, will officiate the service.
