JAMES ALAN (JIM) ATKINS
Jim Atkins age 75, passed away April 28,2025 at St. Luke's the Vintage Hospital in Houston, Tx. He was born on May 18, 1949 to William Amon and Anna Theresa Pick Atkins of Houston. Jim attended John H. Reagan high school in the Heights and joined the U.S. Army shortly afterwards. He spent most of his late teens and adult life as an auto mechanic. Jim was a talented artist and found pleasure in painting/lettering race cars and signs in the 70's and early 80's. Jim was a member of HLS& Rodeo committee for many years. He learned the craft of knife making from his late
brother Bruce Wayne. He was a lifelong deer hunter ..d fisherman and loved doing anything outdoors. Jim could fix ANYTHING and had great attention to detail. in his later and most recent years, Jim loved to sing karaoke and alongside local
country music artists who became dear friends of his. Jim was preceded in death by both his parents, brothers William Elliott (Bill), Bruce Wayne and Gary Lee. Survived by his beloved sons William Alan, wife Lesli, James Paul, wife Vanessa, and
Joshua Charles, wife Nancy. Jim also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Kyle Alan, Cody Wade, Daniel William, Jasmine Chau and Naomi Nhan Atkins. Pallbearers - William, Jimmy,
