Jacob William Allen Hosmer's Obituary
Jacob “Jake” William Allen Hosmer 47, of Pearland Texas, passed away on January 25, 2026.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on February 7, 2026 at New Hope Church, in Pearland Texas with Tom Atkinson officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday February 6, 2026 at 6:30pm at SouthPark Funeral Home in Pearland. Burial will immediately follow the service at SouthPark Funeral Home.
Jake was born in Houston, Texas on December 31, 1978 to Gary and Cecilia Hosmer. He graduated from First Baptist Church School in 1997 and continued to receive his Bachelor's Degree from Middle Tennessee State University. He then went on to receive his pilot's license and became a corporate pilot in Houston, Texas.
Jacob was married to the love of his life Lily Hosmer on October 21, 2006, she was his greatest joy. They did everything together and created beautiful memories for over 20 years. Jake and Lily have two handsome boys, Daniel and Aiden, whom he adored and was deeply proud of. He did everything to give them the world and was the best dad.
Jake had a passion for flying and aviation, he was a pilot for 29 years. He worked for a local company in Houston, Texas. Jake enjoyed traveling the world and loved to experience new cuisines wherever he went. Jake had a passion for sports and Pickleball was his favorite thing to do. He loved to teach everyone about the game and was competitive to his core.
Jake volunteered at New Hope Church which strengthened his relationship with Jesus. Jake embodied joy and he was the life of the party. He was blessed with the gift of hospitality and was an amazing cook. Jake made people feel welcome no matter where he was. He constantly made us laugh with his dad jokes and use of movie quotes.
Jake is survived by his wife Lily, his sons Daniel and Aiden. His parents Gary and Cecilia Hosmer, sister Gloria Reyes (Pedro and Max) brother Lucas Hosmer (Nicole, Ella, Ryan, Millie, and Lucy) sister Jessica McLane (Kyle, Lilly, Collin, Adalyn, and Jocelyn) and sister Krystle Hosmer along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jake will be remembered by the way he lived and loved so generously and joyfully. He will be forever missed and always cherished.
