Mr. Jack Henry Tharp's Obituary
Jack Henry Tharp, 84, of Houston, TX, born August 3, 1928 in Dublin, TX, passed away April 15, 2013. Mr. Tharp was a graduate of Pearland High School; a Korean Conflict war veteran, who worked for Phillips Petroleum Company for over 35 years, an avid University of Texas fan and a member of First United Methodist Church - Pearland. He is preceded in death by daughters, Mary Kathleen Tharp and Caela Anne Tharp Bova, granddaughter Jennifer Kathleen Weber and sister Evelyn Croix. Survivors include his wife of 60 years Dorothy Tharp; daughters, Connie Tharp Weber and her husband Russell, and Carol Jeanine Tharp Krysher and her husband Kenneth; son-in-law, Steven Bova; grandchildren, Bryan Anthony Weber, Maegan Yvonne Weber, Kathleen Elizabeth Krysher, Jacob Alan Krysher, Cassidy Elizabeth Bova, and Keith Henry Bova; and brother, Hal Tharp and wife Juanita. The family received visitors Tuesday, April 16, 2013, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at SouthPark Funeral Home. Service of Remembrance will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church - Pearland, 2314 Grand Blvd. Pearland, TX 77581, with Dr. Robert Joiner officiating. The interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. at SouthPark Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Pearland Relay for Life - American Cancer Society at www.relayforlife.org/pearlandtx.
