J.D. (Bill) Bloodworth of Houston, TX was born May 10, 1926 in DeQuincey, Louisiana and passed away on September 30, 2009 Fort Worth, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Springfield Bloodworth, of 63 years, three sons, David Bloodworth and wife Lynn of Mineral Wells, TX, Wayne Bloodworth and wife Connie of New Caney, TX, Keith Bloodworth and wife Anita of Livingston, TX; daughter, Michelle Lackner and husband Craig of Clear Lake, TX. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; brother, James A. Bloodworth of Alamo, TX, and brother-in-law Dr. Harrold Springfield and his wife Arlene of Henderson, TX, and Gilbert Springfield of Georgetown, TX, He was a lifetime member of Local 450, (International Union of Operating Engineers), was a survivor of WWII as a gunner on the USS New Jersey and a Master Mason of the Walter M. Pearson Lodge #1339. A visitation will be held at South Park Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m., on Sunday. Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Monday, October 5, 2009. Interment will be in the South Park Cemetery.
