Isaac Dolan Hall Jr's Obituary
Isaac “Ike” D. Hall Jr., age 79, of Pearland, Texas went on to be with the Lord on May 13, 2020. He was born on January 26, 1941 in Galveston, Texas to Isaac D. Hall Sr. and Rita Meyers. Ike proudly served his country in the United States Army, including a tour in Germany which he spoke of often with fond memories and great pride. On December 24th, 1958, he married the love of his life Peggy Joyce Coonrod of Alvin, Texas. He went on to be a respected local business owner in the Pearland/Friendswood area. He served his community and the greater Houston area as a top contractor for many years. Ike was an active member of Calvary Crossroads Church in Santa Fe, where he led the men’s group with his own unique blend of spiritual worship and fun. One of Ike’s greatest joys, in addition to spending time with his family, was spending time with his Church Family on Wednesday nights, Sunday mornings, and during other church activities including his famous “Ike Hall Pancake Breakfasts”!
Ike is survived by his wife Peggy, sisters Sandra Walters and Pat Richardson, brother Michael and his wife Helen Hall, as well as by daughter Dayna and her husband Randy Hounsel, and son Darrell and his wife Sheila Hall. Ike is also survived by his grandchildren: Brittany and her husband Matt Tate, Andrew and his wife Emily Hounsel, Austin Hounsel, Breanna Hall, Brooke Hall, Melissa Lindsey and her husband Nick Raymond, Kristina and her husband Stephen Hall, Danielle Lindsey and Derek Anderson, Gerald Lindsey, and his great granddaughter McKinley Tate.
A private service for the immediate family only (due to COVID-19) will be held at South Park Funeral Home with dear friend and Pastor Del Toler officiating on May 19th at 2:00 p.m. The viewing will also be limited to immediate family starting at 1:30 p.m. on May 19th. Immediate family will be required to wear their own personal masks as well as practice social distancing in order to enter the Funeral Home for the service. Ike’s family thanks everyone in advance for their understanding, as these are truly unprecedented times, and the family is committed to protecting Ike’s beautiful bride, as well as other family and friends who may be at higher risk to COVID-19.
