Family Valentin-Carde is deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Iain M. Maclean. Iain was always a very generous and loving friend to us, specially with our daughter Krystal who he and Denise received with opened arms when she studied in South Carolina.

I met Iain approximately 20 years ago through business. We had a lot of arguments over that period of time but he was always willing to listen. Most people would never have the pleasure of meeting a person like Iain, he was one of a kind. I will tell a short story about Iain. He was at the shop and I took him to the house for dinner and on the way I acted like I was going to pull into a driveway with a huge home and a lot of acreage and the first thing he said was, I AM PAYING YOU WAY TO MUCH. My girls listened to him about Scotland like he was a professor. He always spoke about Denise and Scotland. Sorry we did not get to play golf in Scotland. I will miss you.
