Mr. Hubert R. French's Obituary
Hubert Richard French was born 13 July 1927 in Houston, Texas, to Lessie Lee [Elliott] and Ervin Alexander French. After serving in the Navy during WWII, Hubert married Betty Lou Pennock on 2 Mar. 1947 in Reno, Nevada. In 1957, he joined the Houston Police Department, and after 38 years of service, retired March 17, 1995. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty; brother, Ervin Jr.; step brothers, CE Henry and Boyd Keeling and step sister, Georgia Lee “Dee” Henry. He will also be missed by his five children: E.A. "Alex" (Myra) French, Laurence French, Gale (Patti) French, Warren (Phylis) French and Lynette (Steve) Kupferer, as well as a brother, Robert (Bessie) French; step brother, Bill Keeling, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A funeral service will take place at 10am on 3 March 2017, with a visitation one hour prior to service, all to be held at SouthPark Funeral Home in Pearland. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.
