Howard Irwin Elliot Jr.'s Obituary
Howard Irwin Elliott Jr. was born on June 14, 1933. He passed away on July 11, 2020.
Mr. Elliott was a native Houstonian who enjoyed sharing the vast changes he had seen since his youth. He was a veteran of the Korean War and proudly served in the United States Navy like his father before him. He also followed in his father’s footsteps in learning what would become his vocation aboard the US Naval ship on which he served. He was a longstanding member of the Operating Engineers Local 919 until his retirement in 1988.
A faithful prayer warrior and lifelong Baptist, Mr. Elliott was a member of First Baptist Church, Webster, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Miller Elliott, his parents, Howard Irwin Elliott, Sr., and Vada Wilson Elliott, and brother, Robert Elliott.
He is survived by his stepdaughter, Paula Miller; stepson, Paul Miller; stepgrandsons, Christian Miller, Kevin Miller and Jeremy Lowe; a longtime loyal friend, advocate and caregiver of the past five years, J.K. Campbell, as well as many other loved relatives and friends.
Mr. Elliott will be buried in SouthPark Memorial Cemetery beside his parents.
