Hilda Mae Wiederhold's Obituary
Hilda Mae Zwernemann, 90, was born October 23, 1931 in Burleson County to parents Paul and Tonnie Zwernemann and was called home to be with the Lord on September 2, 2022 peacefully at her residence in Pasadena, Texas. She attended Hogg and Deanville Schools and graduated from Caldwell High School in 1949. After graduation she worked for Southwestern States Telephone Co. in Caldwell as a switch board operator until 1951 when she married the love of her life, Arthur "Art" Wiederhold. At the time, he was working in Houston staying with family so they moved to Houston and purchased a home there; their children, Kenneth, Karen and David were all born there. In 1957 they moved to Pasadena, TX and purchased a home there. She was a stay at home mom until the children were in High School and then worked at a local restaurant as a cook, later she enjoyed working at a local Tea Room. Hilda was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Deanville. She looked forward to holidays with family as she loved to cook and bake. After Hilda and Art retired, they enjoyed bowling, dancing, going on casino trips, and traveling with friends to different states and parks in their RV's.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Delta Wernecke and brother Eldie Zwernemann.
Hilda leaves behind to treasure her memories her children, Kenneth & Leslie Wiederhold, Karen & Steven Lutes, and David & Debra Wiederhold; her grandchildren, Pam & Kenny Matula, Jennifer & Robert Michna, Angela & Robert Harris, Allison Wiederhold, Veronica & Chad Gygi, Christina & Michael Anton, Dylan Lutes, and step grandson, Travis Crook; her great grandchildren, Josh Matula, Brandon & Joey Michna, Jacob & Avery Harris, Aryn & Ashlyn Gygi, and A.J. Anton; one great grandson and one great great granddaughter on the way; her sister in law, Mildred Wiederhold of Houston, TX; her brother in law, George & Sheri Wiederhold of Seattle, WA; she also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Hilda will be dearly missed by all those who shared wonderful memories with her.
