Herman Wesley White's Obituary
Wesley White (88), of Alvin, Texas passed away March 24, 2023.
Better known as “Wes” (or “Mr. White” to the Snack Shack family), he was born Herman Wesley White Jr. to Herman W. White, Sr. and Hazel M. Walker on December 27, 1934. He was a sharp, savvy entrepreneur and businessman who dreamed way ahead of his time. His love for building, tinkering, and creating was often seen (even into his 80’s) by the projects he took on and the inventions he conceived. Do you think you know who invented the first “weed eater”? Well, if he would have patented the small vacuum powered/fishing line lawn tool he built years earlier, he might not have needed to work another day in his life. He loved animals, dogs and cats, but he often even felt the need to rescue a spider or lizard he found in distress. He loved nature, trees, lakes, mountains. He was an outdoor kinda guy.
Wesley is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Rose Marie, and his two children Rick and Rhonda. He is also survived by his Grandchildren, Brent, Travis, Nicolas and Lucia and Great Grandchildren Lily, Olivia, Luke, Gracie and Ellie. His death is preceded by son Steven and his mother Hazel.
