Helen Hart Wainwright's Obituary
Helen H. Wainwright, of Pearland, Texas, passed away Tuesday, December 12,2023. Helen was born
on February 20,1936, in Daytona Beach, Florida to Dennis and Edith Hart. She had two sisters, Sarah
Stone and Patricia Hart.
Helen spent a lifetime enjoying the arts, theatre, and music. She was an avid bridge player and a
member of the Rag Time Band in Country Place.
Helen enjoyed many years working in Personnel for the Red Cross and in retirement at Country Place.
Helen and her late husband, Ray Slomer, enjoyed travelling the world together. She is survived by
daughters, Sherri Wainwright, Debbie Wainwright (Don Krause), and Sally Slomer Fickes (Ken Fickes);
grandchildren, Christopher Wainwright, Reece Fickes (Lacey), and Sarah Fickes Cobb (Matt); and their
great grandchildren, Kenton, Peter Ray, and Luke; and nieces, Cindy, Jennifer, Carrie and Georgia, and
many dear friends. Helen will be missed.
Heartfelt thanks for the loving care these caregivers gave to Helen. Thank you, Cindy, Shann, and
Christina.
