Helen Viola Graham's Obituary
Helen Graham leaves behind a loving family and a legacy of service. She is survived by her children: Aubrey Graham and his wife Dianna; Allan Graham and his wife Joanne; Angela Meyer and her husband Gerald; and Alisa McCarty and her husband Kevin Mark. She is also survived by her two sisters, Geneva Smith Cunningham and Gloria Knudsen and husband, William “Bill” Knudsen as well as her sister-in-law, Carol Anderson. Helen was cherished by her 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A dedicated nurse, Helen retired after 29 years of service, having worked at Southmore Hospital, Kelsey-Seybold, and Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital. Beyond her professional contributions, Helen was a longstanding and active member of the Pasadena First Church of the Nazarene for 57 years. In the late 1960s, she served as the daycare program director and later took on roles such as nursery/children’s worker, Caravan leader, missionary president, and board member.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Gracie Anderson; her sister, Anne Anderson; her brothers, Alfred Anderson and W.C. Anderson; and her sister-in-law, Betty Anderson, and Brother-in-law Kenneth Smith.
Helen’s life was a testament to her love for her family, her faith, and her community, leaving a legacy that will be deeply treasured by all who knew her.
