Harry Glen Golightly, 80, of Houston, Texas, passed away on July 19th, 2025. Born on November 2nd, 1944, to Jack Hayes Golightly and Pauline Golightly, he would go on to live a colorful https://life.After receiving his BFA from the University of Texas, Harry became an artist and art teacher. Beginning in the late 1970s, he created many clear, tinted, and crazed acrylic sculptures that are revered to this day. He taught photography at a Catholic college in Houston, and later taught art at Houston ISD middle schools. Always a teacher, he was a counselor at a summer camp for disadvantaged children for over 10 years. He even spent a short time as a meteorologist before retiring - an educaton of sorts.
