Mr. Harry E. Farley's Obituary
Harry Farley, age 81 of Missouri City, TX passed away July 23, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents Cora and Chester Farley and grandson Jacob Farley. He is survived by his sweetheart of 60 years, Carol Farley and children David and wife Gwyn Farley, Douglas and wife Ginny Farley and Brenda Farley and husband Jim White, along with six grandchildren Bridgette Farley Hannah, Colleen Farley Jones, Brian Farley, G. Austin Darsey, David Darsey and Lloyd Farley and great grandson Andrew Hannah.
He was born in Kansas City, KA on April 29, 1935. He moved to Houston in 1953 to attend the University of Houston where he earned his Bachelors of Engineering. As a Professional Engineer he became the Director of Engineering for many valve companies, including FMC, Crane, Cameron Intl. and Conbraco Industries. He served as a Councilman and Mayor Pro-tem for the City of Pearland from 1973-1982. Throughout his life he developed many friendships, but his greatest satisfaction was his love for his family and the children at Armstrong Elementary.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 27 from 5-7 pm at South Park Funeral Home, 1310 N. Main St, Pearland, TX. On Thursday, July 28 a Celebration of His Life will be held at the First United Methodist Church Missouri City, 3900 Lexington Blvd at 11:00 am.
