Harriet Ruth Jenkins' Obituary
Harriet Ruth Jenkins: 79, a loved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022, after her battle with poor health. Ruth was born on December 18, 1942, to father Lawrence Zea and mother Ida May Fisher. On July 15, 1967, she married her best friend William “Bill” Jenkins and soon after started a beautiful family. Ruth was known for her love of crafts, sweets, plants, birds, and butterflies. In her younger years if she wasn’t outside enjoining the sun and nature by the pond she built herself, you could find her alongside her husband in the wood shop or spending quality time with the people she loved most. She was known for her unique personality that could always liven up any occasion and being willfully independent and strong. Nothing could stop her when she had her mind set. She always creative and figured out a way to make things happen. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Debbie Jenkins; son, William Jenkins Jr; Sister Ruby Crider; grandchildren, Kelly Jenkins, Chad Barrett, William "Trey" Jenkins III, and Drew Jenkins and many other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Bill Jenkins, mother, May fisher, stepmother Fay Zea, father, Lawrence Zea; and several siblings, we invite you to join her family for services at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas. The viewing will be from 12:30 pm- 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 29, 2022, with the service immediately following.
