Hardy Eugene Head's Obituary
Hardy was born on January 27, 1938, to Hardy H. Head and Gertrude R. Head in Harris County, TX. He grew up in rural Louisiana oil field camps and on rural farmlands in Rosenburg, TX. In the late 1950’s he enlisted in the Marine Corps, and during that time met and married his wife, Yvonne Ellaine Bain of Houston, TX. They attended Park Place Lutheran Church in Houston, lived in southeast Houston where Hardy was an active community leader. They adopted two children, Scott and Kimberly. Hardy worked in the pump and compressor field and ultimately started multiple successful business ventures. He was active in his children’s sporting and scouting activities, giving of himself without reservation. He was always a lover of golf and hit the course as often as he could. He was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rosenburg, TX.
Hardy was predeceased by his wife, Yvonne Ellaine Head, and his sister, Linda Anne Head of Richmond, TX. He is survived by his son Scott M. Head and wife, Angela D. Head of Friendswood, TX. He is survived by his grandson Caleb M. Head and wife Delaney L. Head of Alvin, TX, and their children Caspian Head and Dallas Head. He is survived by his granddaughter Callie A. Luce and her husband Wade Luce of Springfield, Il; and his grandson Samuel L. Head. He is survived by his daughter Kimberly D. Campos and husband Benjamin Campos of Seabrook, TX; their children Preston Campos, his wife Ariana Campos, their children Lotus Campos, with Sage Campos to be born in December; and grandchildren Daizy Campos, Aven Campos, and Landon Campos.
A closed-casket service will be held at South Park Funeral Home, 1310 North Main Street, Pearland, TX 77581, on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 2pm.
