Mr. Han "Don" Chau Gee's Obituary
Han Chau Gee, more popularly known as Don Gee, entered eternal rest on May 11, 2012 with loved ones by his side. He was 81 years of age. Don was born on January 4, 1931 in Canton, China to his father, Fook On Gee and his mother, Yook Qui Wong. He was 19 years of age when he immigrated to the United States and worked in his father's privately owned grocery business in Inverness, Mississippi. Don eventually met and married Frances Lou. Together they lived in Mississippi and had two sons, Don and Toy. By the time their second child was 2 years of age, Don and Frances moved with their two sons to Houston, Texas where Don soon became the proud owner of his own personal grocery business called Don's Supermarket on Cullen Street. During his years as a personal business owner of Don's Supermarket, Don and Frances became the proud parents of 4 more children by the names of Nancy, Albert, William and Linda. Don and Frances later retired from their grocery business and moved to their final residence in Pearland, Texas. Don was best known for his hospitality and concern for others. This year would have marked Don and Frances' 60th wedding anniversary. Don is survived by his wife Frances, their first son Don and his wife Pansy, their second son Toy, their first daughter, Nancy and her husband Douglas, their third son, Albert and his wife Ana, their fourth son, William, and their second daughter, Linda and her husband Jason. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Lee, Kim, Chris, Ashley, Brandon, Aaron, Allison, Zoe and Phoebe.
