Hale Baugh III's Obituary
Hale Baugh III, a resident of Magnolia, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on January 20, 2025. He was a loving partner, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend.
He was born January 4, 1948 in West Point, New York to Hale and Sally Boyer Baugh during his father's appointment to West Point Military Academy. Hale III graduated from Cocoa High School in 1966 in Cocoa, Florida. During his Junior year, he won the Florida State Golf Association Junior State Championship. He earned both golf and football scholarships to North Texas State University, graduating in 1971 with a Business/Accounting degree. This launched his independent insurance agent career, handling primarily commercial accounts. His long-lasting career fostered deep friendships, particularly with his cherished clients.
Hale was a loving, devoted soulmate and family man. He was a passionate sports enthusiast who loved golf, football, baseball, tennis, skiing, and enthusiastically shared his passion for airplanes and firearms by engaging in lively discussions about their history and mechanics. Hale delighted in his daily conversations with his mother and brother and was prideful and affirming towards his children, grandchildren and extended family. Hale’s infectious laughter and joy enriched the lives of his family and friends, who fondly remember his playful spirit and captivating stories. He was a source of unwavering support and positivity, making everyone around him feel special. His wealth of family and friends loved him deeply.
He is survived by his life partner of 19 years, Cindy Bailey; his children James Logan (Misty) Baugh, Lauren L'Norra Baugh, Leeanna (Jordan) Dodson and Hale IV (Anna) Baugh; and his 3 grandchildren Jaxon, Zoe and Hale Baugh V. Also survived by his mother, Sally Boyer-Baugh; brother Beau Baugh; sister Laura Baugh as well as many other extended family members and friends.
Hale is preceded in death by his father Hale Baugh II of Cocoa, Florida.
