Mrs. Gwendolyn McKnight's Obituary
Gwendolyn McKnight, 92, passed away Monday June 22, 2015. Mrs. McKnight was born in Van Zandt County, Texas on May 27, 1923 to Roy and Ada Scobey. She married William Benjamin McKnight May 22, 1943. She worked in the courtesy booth at Weingartens for 19 years. She was preceded in death by her husband: William Benjamin McKnight, and parents: Roy and Ada Scobey. She is survived by daughters: Martha Sorrells and husband Jim, and Jane Louis and husband Scott; grandchildren: Jeff Sorrells, Brad Sorrells, Beth McElroy, Colby Louis and Kirbi Louis-Stellano; great-grandchildren: Benjamin Sorrells, Tyler Sorrells, Lacy Sorrells, Leah Sorrells, Kayleigh McElroy, Addison McElroy, Wesley Beard-Stellano, Gwen Stellano and Beckett Louis; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends Friday June 26, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Southpark Funeral Home 1310 North Main St., Pearland, Texas 77581. A funeral service will be held Saturday June 27, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Southpark Funeral Home.
