Mr. Guadalupe "Wally" Vela's Obituary
Guadalupe 'Wally' Vela, 52, went to be with the Lord on Friday morning February 03, 2012. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on December 12, 1959 to Juan and Cirila Vela. He was the 8th child and was the youngest of five boys. He is preceded in death by his mother, Cirila Vela, sister, Sylvia Neito and brothers, Juan Vela Jr. and Pete Vela. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of thirty years, Mrs. Grace E. Vela; son, Paul Joseph Vela; father, Juan Vela Sr.; brothers, David Vela (Nelda) and Gilbert Vela (Lisa); sisters, Yolanda Villaneuva (Daniel) and Janie Palacios (Martin) all of Corpus Christi, TX, Delia Garza (Juan) of Lubbock, TX and Rosa Tamez (Gilbert) of San Antonio, TX; sister-in-law, Linda Vela and brother-in-law, Ruber Nieto of Corpus Christi, TX. Aunts, Uncles and a host of nieces and nephews relatives and numerous close friends and co-workers. His smile will be greatly missed and will live on in all those that had the pleasure to know him. He held his family and friends very close to his heart. Wally was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it. He loved to laugh and joke around all the time. He had the ability to make lifelong friendships with everyone he came in contact with. There is not enough words to express the kind of man that Wally had grown to be. He was a great provider and loving husband, father, family man and friend. Wally was a very strong man. He stood up for what he believed and would fight for what was right. He fought all the way till he heard the lord call his name. We will all miss him dearly.
