Doug Faber
A returned Christmas card got me wondering why. My wife and I met Grady in San Diego back in the late 70's. He tried to convince me to go scuba diving with him, and would tell me how much fun he had exploring places. When Grady met Ester we could tell he had found happiness. Not long after they moved to Texas and we slowly lost touch. I remember a phone conversation with Grady, and he was talking about his new job with NASA, and how cool it was having the same patches the astronauts were wearing. Serving 21 years in the military on it's own is quite an accomplishment most people don't understand, but retiring with gold chevrons shows your time in was of the highest standards. He was the type of person who made you feel special, and looking back on the short time we knew him brings a smile to our faces. Fair Winds and Following Seas my friend. Doug & Susie Faber
