Gordon Edwards, long-time pastor, went home to heaven on October 11th in Houston. 'Bro. Gordon' served Baptist churches in the Houston area and later in the Hill Country with pastorates spanning 7 decades. Visitation is October 13th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at SouthPark Funeral Home, 1310 N. Main St. in Pearland. Graveside services are October 14th at Franklin Cemetery in Franklin, TX at 2 p.m. A Memorial Service celebrating his life is October 15th, 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Burnet, TX. Memorials in honor of Brother Edwards may be designated to the Cooperative Program through F.B.C. Highlands or any Southern Baptist Convention church.
