My heartfelt condolences to the family for the loss of Mr. Johnson. If ever the perfect mold for a man were made, he could be the model. The perfect Christian, son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother. And friend one could ever ask for. He doted over his family. He worked hard and was a tremendous provider. He took his family to the house of our Lord and he Praised God. He's in Heaven. He's at peace, at home, and his family will gather again. Amen!
I'm proud to have known Gordon, He was a very nice man, he enjoyed his family and friends, I visited with him at his home some years ago when he was still making knives he would give me and anyone tips on making and finishing knives, I remember once at a club meeting i was showing a fellow club member the knife i bought from Gordon and i was bragging on how well it was made, i said ive done everything with this knife your not supposed to do and its never failed me, Gordon was standing near by and i said loudly ive even used it for a chipping hammer once, And Gordon said boy you better not have, We all had a good laugh over it. I made him one of my little date nail knives and gave it to him at his home, He was so tickeled by it he had to show his wife. Thats another fond memory i have of him, i will miss him very much. Thank you Gordon for all you've done and your service to our country as a WWII Veteran and an outstanding person. Sincerely Jeff Ballard.
