Gloria Joy Warren's Obituary
Gloria Joy Warren passed away peacefully on August 26, 2020, in Pearland, Texas at the age of 92. Gloria was born in Omaha, Nebraska on September 21, 1927 to Carl Olsby and Leola Parcell.
She was an only child when as an infant, her family moved to Texas. Years later, she was joined by her adopted sister, Thelma Jean. Gloria graduated from Pasadena High School in 1944, where she was track queen and twirler during her senior year. In 1945, she married Clyde Archer and together they had two sons, Craig and Byron. Gloria and Clyde were divorced in 1974, and she married Maurice Warren in 1975, who passed in 2005.
Gloria was a long-time resident of South Houston, beginning in 1953, until moving to Pasadena for a brief period, then finally to Pearland for her last 40 years. Gloria mostly worked through the years in various secretarial positions.
She is survived by her son Craig and his wife Cora, her son Byron, seven grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.
