Gloria Marie Nezat Tucker's Obituary
Our beloved mother, Gloria Marie Nezat Tucker, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2024, in Missouri City, TX, at the age of 91. She is survived by all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was born in Port Barre, LA, on September 15, 1932. Her childhood was spent in Louisiana before she moved to Texas in the early 1950s. She was from a large family, which instilled in her a lifelong passion for family at an early age.
Gloria met her husband, Dexter, in Texas. They married February 28, 1953, and had a long and happy marriage for 57 years until his death in 2010. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker.
She leaves behind her children: sons Gary and wife Cynthia of Sugar Land, TX; Walter and wife Catherine of Gonzales, TX; Dexter of Richmond, TX; and daughters Paula Warden of Rosenberg, TX; and Michelle McKinney and husband Joey of Weddington, NC.
She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by all of her brothers and sisters and her husband of 57 years, Walter Dexter Tucker.
Visitation and a Rosary will be held Thursday evening August 22, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. The Rosary will be at 6:30 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 23 at 1 p.m. at South Park Funeral Chapel with committal service immediately following. All friends and family are welcome.
