Mrs. Gloria Anne Kliesing's Obituary
Gloria Anne Blackburn Kliesing entered into the loving arms of our Lord on April 18, 2020, at the age of 62 years old. She was born in Houston, Texas on August 17, 1957 to Constance Belle Ward and Samuel Raymond Blackburn.
Gloria met William Randall (Randy) Kliesing at a car exhibit in 1975. She and her sister were models for the exhibit, and Randy managed the dealership. The two had their first date at a Halloween barn party, and were married six months later on May 1, 1976.
Gloria had a broad range of interests and abilities, and loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She was passionate about quality time with her family and friends, and owned a shoe store in Sugar Land until she decided to stay at home to raise her three children.
She was a creative, compassionate, and hard working woman who never met a task too big to tackle. In addition to her shoe store, Gloria ran a cafe, acted as a midwife for new mothers in her family, backpacked abroad, bottle fed calves, was a talented painter, worked with her sisters as an interior decorator, hunted deer, and played piano.
If you knew Gloria, you knew beauty, you knew fun, and you knew kindness. If you were her friend, you knew she would always be your friend.
Gloria is survived by her husband and children Ross Kliesing (Anna), Kara Kliesing Jakubec (Chase), and Troy Kliesing; 5 beloved grandchildren, Katelyn, William, Emily, Dove, and Clara; five siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
"Pray then like this: 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
