Obituary for Gilberto Lopez
Gilberto Lopez, went home to be with the Lord on December 5, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Houston Texas on February 2, 1977, Gilberto lived a life filled with love, faith, and strong devotion to his family and community.
As a master carpenter, Gilberto built a successful career crafting cabinets and creating beautiful, functional pieces that reflected his dedication and talent. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish businesses in both Houston and Austin, Texas, leaving a lasting legacy in the craftsmanship and integrity he brought to his work.
Gilberto is survived by his devoted wife, Lucina; his beloved children, Delilah (and her husband, Johnny), Gilbert (and his wife, Vianey), and Destiny; his parents, Dora and Gilbert; and his siblings, Ernest, Angela, and Virginia. He was also a proud and loving “Pops” to his grandchildren, Mason and Kinsleigh, whose laughter and joy brought him endless happiness.
Gilberto had a deep passion for life, which he expressed through his love of basketball, golf, and fishing.
A man of strong Christian faith, Gilberto lived his life guided by his belief in God. He was a dedicated husband, father, Pops, son, brother, and friend who always put others before himself and offered help and support whenever it was needed.
Though he is no longer with us, Gilberto’s legacy of love, faith, and determination will continue to inspire those who carry his memory in their hearts. He is now at peace in his eternal home with God, and his family looks forward to the day they are reunited with him.
Rest in peace, Gilberto Lopez. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.
